To properly get fitted for figure skates, an appointment is required. Fitting skates is not just a matter of telling us your shoe size and then ordering. We take measurements of your foot as well as take in to account your age, weight, skating abilities, and future goals. Combining all of these factors will result in getting you fitted in to the skate that is right for you. Ill-fitted skates can and will most likely result in slowed skill development and even skaters quitting the sport because they are not enjoying the experience. Everything about the fitting is designed to create a positive experience while educating the skater and maximizing the skater’s longevity in the sport. There are no added fees for the skate fittings. We believe that the experience will be so positive for the skater that you will purchase the skates from us and not elsewhere. Not only will you get the free fitting when purchasing the skates from us, but the subsequent refitting, 1^st time sharpening, and heat molding (if applicable) are included. Also, within the first few weeks of skating on your new skates, if there are any minor adjustments – punch, stretch, etc. – required to create a better fit, we will do that as part of the entire fitting process.
