Did you miss registering for the current session of classes for Basic 2 and up? We still have room for you! We'll be glad to prorate your session for the remaining weeks of our July-August classes. Please don't feel like you need to wait until September to get back on the ice. Your skater will lose lots of ground from the two-month break.
All skaters in our Beginner Learn to Skate classes must wear a helmet during class, provided by the parent/skater.

Blizzard Blitz! classes are week-long intensive Learn to Skate classes offered June-August, perfect for those who travel during the summer, or for those who want to get in a lot of skating in a short amount of time! Classes include one lesson each day, Mon.-Fri., with unlimited public session each day, too! Click here for more information!
To enroll in a class or league online, click the "Enroll Online Now" link under Quick Links. Then click on Program Registration, then the type of enrollment you would like to do ( i.e., Learn to Skate or Hockey Classes), then "click here to register". Available courses will be shown, but are not necessarily in alpha-numeric order. Please view the full list for the course of your choice. Then click on the arrows next to your choice for a drop-down menu to select the session you would like to take. If you are eligible for additional discounts, they will be applied by Chaparral Ice when the order is processed and will not appear on your emailed order confirmation, but will be reflected on your credit card statement.
Don't know yet if classes are right for you? Try our FREE Learn to Skate class on Saturdays! Register by 11:45 a.m. for our 12:00 noon class. Skate rental is included. Class size is limited, so arrive EARLY to sign up with the cashier! (Skaters who wish to remain on public session after the free class must purchase public session admission/skate rental.) For ages 6 and up who have never had skating lessons. $10 private lesson available for those under 6 yrs.

USA Hockey 2 x 2 Challenge. If your child is a youth player and you recruit his friends to start playing hockey you can get $100 off your child's fees. That's a big chunk of change. Email Angie Vaught at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.

Chaparral Ice extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Houston figure skating coach Lefki Terzakis, who passed away last week. We are grateful to have worked alongside her as we traveled the state between competitions and test sessions. The lives she touched were blessed indeed for having known her.
The weekday morning freestyle times have been changed for the remainder of July and the month of August. Starting Monday, July 21, the Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday freestyles will run 6:00-9:00 a.m. The Tuesday morning freestyles will remain 5:00-9:00 a.m. These are the "official" opening times. However, if you need to schedule a lesson with your coach earlier than 6:00 a.m., please have your coach contact Kathy or Angie. Schedules for September and beyond are TBD.

All goalie spots for all divisions are full at this time. All player spots in the B2, C1, and C2 division are full as well. We need a few more A and B1 level players to close things out. If you want to get on the waiting/sub list, please email Jason Maurer @ email@example.com. Provide the division you would like to play in as well as if you are a skater or a goalie. If things change and spots become available, we will try to get folks added and contact you.

The Dallas STARS Mike Modano Little Rookies program has come to Austin. Want to get your child started in hockey but not sure if they want to participate? Little Rookies is a COMPLETELY FREE PROGRAM where your child will be able to participate in four 30 min. lessons, in full gear (supplied by the program) for a month to see if they enjoy it.
