All skaters in our Beginner Learn to Skate classes must wear a helmet during class, provided by the parent/skater. Beginner classes are Snowplow 1-2-3, Basic 1-2, and Adult 1-2.
Chaparral offers two unique summer day camps: Camp Avalanche, for campers who want to skate every day, but also go on field trips and outdoor adventures; and Camp de Champs, for skaters looking for an all-day training option (including two daily classes and 4 hours of ice time!). Can't stay with us for all-day summer skating camp? Can't commit to an 8-week session due to travel plans? Our morning Blizzard Blitz classes are the perfect option! Summer Blizzard Blitz week-long intensive classes will be offered weekly starting June 6 through Aug. 19. Blitz classes include one 30-minute lesson each day, Monday-Friday mornings, plus all-day public skating until 5 p.m. Basic 1-up classes are for ages 6 and up. Click here for more information. Not sure if classes are right for you? Try our FREE Learn to Skate class on Saturdays! Register by 11:45 a.m. for our 12:00 noon class. Skate rental is included. Class size is limited, so arrive EARLY to sign up with the cashier! (Skaters who wish to remain on public session after the free class must purchase public session admission/skate rental.) For ages 6 and up who have never had skating lessons. $10 private lesson available for those under 6 yrs. (The Saturday Free Class is for individuals only and is not available for groups. DEFENDING THE BLUE LINE is a grant designed to help military families pay for their child's youth hockey fees or equipment. Please email email@example.com if you are interested in applying.
To enroll in a class or league online, click the "Enroll Online Now" link under Quick Links. Then click on Program Registration, then the type of enrollment you would like to do ( i.e., Learn to Skate or Hockey Classes), then "click here to register". Available courses will be shown, but are not necessarily in alpha-numeric order. Please view the full list for the course of your choice. Then click on the arrows next to your choice for a drop-down menu to select the session you would like to take. If you are eligible for additional discounts, they will be applied by Chaparral Ice when the order is processed and will not appear on your emailed order confirmation, but will be reflected on your credit card statement.
USA Hockey 2 x 2 Challenge. If your child is a youth player and you recruit his friends to start playing hockey you can get $100 off your child's fees. That's a big chunk of change. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.

BEST is a summer training program for skaters in Freeskate 1-6, and PrePreliminary-up competitive skaters. Daily on-ice and off-ice classes are offered, as well as daily, weekly, and monthly rates. The more you skate, the more you save! Classes include Moves in the Field, Ballet, Choreography, Strength & Conditioning, Tricks of the Trade, On-Ice and Off-Ice Jump Harness, Jumps, Spins, and more! Back by popular demand, our Coach In Training program returns May 7! The Dallas STARS Mike Modano Little Rookies program has come to Austin. Want to get your child started in hockey but not sure if they want to participate? Little Rookies is a COMPLETELY FREE PROGRAM where your child will be able to participate in four 30 min. lessons, in full gear (supplied by the program) for a month to see if they enjoy it.
