Chaparral Ice

The coolest camps in town are at Chaparral Ice! Many of our campers return year after year, and we take that as a compliment! Don't miss the boat, download your registration forms and get enrolled before our 2009 Camps fill. You can fax your completed registration form, signed Terms and Conditions form along with your credit card payment information to 512-302-3906. A $50 deposit per week is required to reserve a spot.

CAMP SUBZERO

The coolest camp around just keeps getting better as we head into our 12th year. Camp SubZero is dedicated to providing the highest quality programming and activities for our 5-8 year old campers. Camp is only at the I35 location.

Activities - We fill our days with the largest range of activities possible. We jam pack each day with adventure, offering the following activities throughout the week: skating, swimming, Capital Gymnastics, arts and crafts, broomball, Snowparks, and of course our indoor and outdoor games. Every Monday we will offer a skating lesson by a professional Chaparral Ice skating coach, and campers typically get 1 to 2 hours of skating time each day. Cost = $225/week.

CAMP AVALANCHE
Camp Avalanche logo Camp Avalanche is our pre-teen super camp! We offer a camp designed pre-teen in mind, a cool camp for kids aged 9-11 years old. We focus on the ever-changing needs of our campers, helping them to develop and grow in a positive and enriching way, while learning about themselves and the community that surrounds them. Camp is only at the I35 location.

Activities - Camp Avalanche offers a multitude of activities from skating, hiking at the greenbelt, ice sports, swimming, to volunteering at the local food bank, building wooden creations, and age appropriate arts and crafts. With the addition or our new Recreation Center we can also play volleyball, basketball and many more indoor sports to beat the heat! There is an exciting weekly field trip and campers typically get 1 to 2 hours of skating time each day. Cost = $225/week.

X-TREME TEEN ADVENTURES

For the 12-15 year old Teens!

***New this year - Counselor in Training program for 15 year olds***

We offer this age group a fun, exciting and enriching environment in which to gain new experiences and have a great time. Activities- X-Treme Teen Adventures will be focusing on enjoying the natural aspects of Austin, while also introducing our teens to new and exciting experiences. Their camp week will include swimming, skating, field trips, games while also adding volunteering opportunities in the community and hiking throughout our beautiful city's greenbelts. In our new Indoor REC center we will be able to play volleyball, basketball and soccer to beat the heat. Our 15 year old campers will participate in leadership training classes aimed at introducing them to the first steps of being leaders in their community. These training sessions will help them to learn about themselves as individuals, teach them to work as a team, and introduce them to the role of camp counselor at Chaparral Ice Center. Cost = $225/week.

SUMMER BLIZZARD BLITZ

You will learn to skate in record time! Sign up for Blizzard Blitz classes and get a lesson every day for one week!

Summer Blizzard Blitz classes are easily added to our Summer Camps packages and your camper gets a skating lesson every day in addition to the regularly scheduled fun of camp.

Learn to Skate Basic Skills Program - These weekly sessions provide a half hour goup lesson each weekday. These classes are great for the recreational skater as well as those interested in pursuing the sport of figure skating. Students will receive a patch upon mastering the elements at each level as they advance at their own pace. Only $50 per week for summer campers (regularly $95).

Learn to Play Hockey - Summer is the perfect time to get started. We can have your child ready to join the league just in time for the upcoming fall season. Each day, players will receive a 30 minute off-ice lesson, followed by a 30 minute on-ice lesson. This class is only $60 per week for summer campers (regularly $95). Full gear and USA Hockey memebership is required.
